Matt's bio

Matt is not new to the music scene and his journey started at a very young age.  He would perform alongside his two sisters singing old gospel songs starting at the age of 5 in many churches.

Matt started writing around this time as well (Thankfully his songs have gotten better)!

By his teens he was regularly leading worship in some capacity at his home church and actively trying to build a band which eventually became his most successful band he fronted called “Rekoncyle”.

With Rekoncyle, Matt wrote all the songs for the band’s 2 full length albums, and 1 worship project.

The band stayed busy performing regularly in churches, festivals (including Soulfest in NH) and some touring throughout the Maritime provinces to Ontario.

Rekoncyle won an MGMA for “Band Of The Year”, made some noise on radio, and were also nominated for an ECMA.

If you have ever met Matt, then you know he has an intense passion for music and ministry, which led him into putting the band on hiatus in 2018 to pursue a more ministry focused vision.  Matt’s first project as a solo artist was a single he co-wrote with N.B. hip hop artist One8Tea titled “Victory”. This song went on to be nominated for a Covenant award.

Matt now focuses on the CCM/Worship genre.

Matt is an active member and worship leader at his home church (Kings Church), helps his wife teach Sunday School, is VERY active on YouTube, and is always writing and releasing new music.

So stay tuned!
